Harvey Norman and the NRL celebrated the 18th annual Harvey Norman Women in League Round over the weekend across Round 22 of the NRL Premiership and Round 2 of the NRLW Premiership. A number of clubs got involved and celebrated women in their own way!
On game day, young girls had the opportunity to run their favourite NRL players out on to the field plus play a game of rugby league at half time.
Harvey Norman rewarded fans at the NRLW Double Header at Allianz Stadium with FREE Women in League Round scrunchies, facepainting and hair braiding plus a themed photo opportunity which lots of kids took full advantage of throughout the day!

‘Big growth’: Women In League Round founder on the rise of NRLW
The NRL Women in League Internship Program, introduced in 2024 thanks to Harvey Norman, focuses on creating new opportunities for women to be represented across the game, providing on-the-job experience for aspiring young females looking to forge a path in Rugby League. Applications opened during Women in League Round with over 100 applicants received by the close of the round on Sunday night.
Another new initiative in 2024 was raising funds and awareness for Ovarian Cancer Australia. Harvey Norman along with NRL raised $14,000 through conversions across 3 games throughout Women in League Round to support families impacted by ovarian cancer and provide them access to specialised and personalised care.
