So I’m almost embarrassed to say this, but I’ve never used an Air Fryer before.
I mean, I’ve heard about how quick and convenient they are and how their reputation for cooking healthy meals with little to no oil has made them a kitchen sensation. Until embarking on my Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer review, however, I had not yet made the leap from Oven to Air Fryer. And I feel like I may not be alone in this.
So, for all my fellow Air Fryer newbies (I promise you, we got this) and for those who have already earned their Air Frying-chef stars, let’s take a look at the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer. I think you’re going to love it as much as I do.
Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer Review
The Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer is the latest addition to Philips’ amazing Air Fryer range, and it appealed to me as a busy working mum with three kids and a hubby.
The soundtrack of any parent’s life is “What’s for dinner?” or my personal favourite, usually shouted from a child’s bedroom, “When’s dinner ready?” Sometimes it can feel almost impossible to tick all the boxes, especially when it comes to mealtimes.
Now if the Philips 3000 Series can cook up a meal faster than an oven (tick), make it easy to cook healthy food that tastes delicious (tick) and be super easy to clean (tick), then I’m all in!
Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer Unboxing
The first thing I noticed when I unpacked the Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer, was how light it was when I lifted it from the box. It was easy to carry from kitchen table to kitchen counter. Second – and let me tell you, this is the best part, was the aesthetic – yes, I’m going to use that word.
With a beautiful Charcoal Grey colour and long, easy-to-hold Rose Gold handles, I felt the same excitement that I get when purchasing new homewares. I love the way it looks in my kitchen!

Smart Features of the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer
After I unboxed the Air Fryer, I downloaded the Philips HomeID app by simply using the QR code provided and clicking on the link.
The HomeID app gave me instant access to hundreds of mouth-watering meal ideas as well as step-by-step guidance on using the Philips 3000 Series Air Fryer. The app also featured little tips and recommendations to suit my taste and diet, and I could even share my culinary creations and get inspo from other Philips Air Fryer home-cooking maestros.

The Philips 3000 Series has plenty of other smart features like the preset function. The touchscreen display has eight presets so I can easily choose the right temperature and time for a range of foods such as chicken, fish, frozen fries, veggies and more. It means I don’t have to worry when I’m cooking meals or quick snacks, no guessing, and no constant checking.
It even has a clever Shaking reminder, which tells you to shake the food halfway through the cooking process – as a person who needs a lot of reminding, this feature sure is helpful. The preset for fries automatically includes the Shaking reminder – even better!
Benefits of a Dual Basket Air Fryer
The Dual Baskets gave me greater cooking flexibility and more options as I planned my weekly menu. With an overall 9-litre capacity, it was so useful and suited almost any meal. Really, the range of cooking possibilities a Dual Basket Air Fryer opens are exciting.
Cooking for a family of five with the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL makes the task so much easier. With the larger basket being a generous 6-litre capacity, and the second basket at 3-litres, there’s plenty of space for mains and sides.
Plus, it automatically times it so both baskets finish at the same time. Being able to automatically synchronise the cooking times of both drawers so food is ready to be served together is brilliant! One meal, fresh and hot!

The pans and baskets in the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer are also dishwasher safe which makes it so much easier once it comes time to clean up. No need to scrub or soak. This saves so much time and lets you get on with more important things. The HomeID app also had tips and demonstration videos on how to keep the Air Fryer clean and working at its best.
Family Favourites in the Philips 3000 Series Air Fryer
Using an Air Fryer means you can make your family’s favourite meals even easier!
Our weekly Sunday Roast was cooked to perfection with the Dual Baskets. A 1.2kg boneless pork roast sat perfectly in the large drawer, while the veggies were cooked in the smaller drawer. With pre-set temperatures and times, it was so easy to navigate the settings on the touchscreen.
The 3000 Series leverages the patented starfish technology and RapidPlus Air Technology that optimises heat circulation, my pork roast came out succulent and juicy on the inside and crispy on the outside. Trust the process – it really works!

I also used the Philips 3000 Series Air Fryer for chicken nuggets that were a big hit with my daughter and her friends. I simply placed frozen chicken nuggets in the smaller basket, set the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer to the recommended settings and in less time than it usually takes me to cook them in the oven, I had nuggets on the table for the kiddos. Crispy on the outside and tender on the inside – I stole a few just to make sure!
Using The Air Fryer for Fish and Chips
We cook fish a lot. Often on the BBQ. It’s not always ideal to be outside trying to BBQ on a freezing winter night or setting it all up only to realise the gas bottle is empty. And scraping off a BBQ plate is a tedious task.
I found a recipe for Salmon with Veggies on Philips HomeID app and followed the step-by-step instructions, set the time and temperature for each basket, pressed the time function button and voilà! Minimal effort for a great, healthy family meal.

My kids just love chips, and I’m a big fan of them too. The Philips 300 Series Dual Basket Air Fryer is the perfect Air Fryer for chips and can cook up a batch of chips in much less time than the oven and without the need for lots of oil, yet they come out nice and crunchy.
With the help of the Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer I’ve been serving them up on their own, adding them to chicken nuggets, as well as a tasty side with a main dish. I just love the fact that Philips 3000 Series Dual Basket XXXL Air Fryer uses 90% less fat compared to homemade fries cooked in an ordinary deep fryer.
