Hitting a Home Run with the Philips HomeRun 9000 Series Robot Vacuum

I’ve always loved Robotic Vacuums. The way they clean all my floors with almost no effort from me is a godsend, especially as a Mum with three kids and a dog with way too much energy. So when I was asked to review the new Phillips HomeRun 9000 Series Robot Vacuum, I was more than ready to give it a spin. With today’s latest technology right within my reach, the possibilities of what this could do for my home were limitless. Want to see how it went? Read on to find out!

What’s in the box?

The box features the Robotic Vacuum, the charging station, the charging cable, a spare mop, a dust bag, detergent bottle, a manual and a brush cleaning tool.

Initial Thoughts

The moment I removed the Robot Vacuum from its box, I knew I was in for something special. The sleek build of the machinery, the incredible technology and also its simplicity was something to marvel. I took the easy steps to set up the connection to my phone, made sure the Vacuum was fully charged and before I knew it, it was ready to go.

One of the first things I noticed as it effortlessly glided through my floors, was that the mopping was never intense enough to cause any slips. With my kids being constant runners, I always worried that they’d slip and fall. The Phillips HomeRun 9000 Series Robot Vacuum uses minimal water, but still effectively and efficiently washes my floors.

The HomeRun 9000 Series intelligently found its way around my home.

It was also remarkable how quietly it worked on my home. With screaming children, a barking dog and endless TV chatter, the last thing I need is a raucous vacuum cleaner adding to the noise. Knowing that the noise and the cleaning were two less things to worry about made my days go much more smoothly.

The Robot Vacuum also features a convenient mapping system on the app. Within minutes, I was able to develop a map of my home, tell the Vacuum where I wanted it to go, and which places I wanted it to avoid. Plus, with a set route to follow, I could make sure that it would never get lost, stuck or miss any areas of my home.

The app has great features including stop/go controls, floor mapping and no-go zones.

Another massive time-saver for me was that the Vacuum will automatically return to its HomeBase to charge whenever it gets below 15% battery. There’s nothing worse than knowing the Robot Vacuum has died or gotten stuck and having to scour the house trying to find it, only to discover it’s gotten stuck in the furthest corner of your lowest couch, and having to stretch your fingers thin trying to retrieve it. You always know that it’ll take care of itself, and basically do all the work for you.

A unique feature that I appreciated in the Vacuum was that if it runs out mid-clean, it will calculate how much battery it needs to complete the job and then automatically resume cleaning. It was the perfect assistant to help me get through my cleaning.

PowerCyclone Aqua Technology

Featuring PowerCyclone Aqua Technology, the Robotic Vacuum has a container for clean water, and a another one for dirty water. Meaning that the dirty water stays safely tucked away within its container, and it only uses clean water to wash my floors. With the ability to mop and vacuum at the same time, I adored its convenience, while also doing very little work myself. When you’re a Mum with three energetic boys and a dog with endless needs, a machine that can vacuum and mop at the same time is an incredible time-saving feat.d

Zero Maintenance Up To 3 Weeks¹

A huge favourite feature of mine on this Robot Vacuum is how low maintenance it is to keep. With the holidays coming up, the last thing I needed was to have to worry about cleaning the machine, switching the dirt bag, refilling the water or anything else for upkeep. The dust bin is automatically emptied for up to 70 days¹ and the water tanks are automatically emptied and refilled for up to 3 weeks¹. This is a huge help when you need everything done as soon as possible and having the Phillips HomeRun 9000 Series Robot Vacuum as my assistant has made life so much easier when trying to manage a household like mine.

Advanced Detangling

With advanced detangling, I never have to sit there and remove any stubborn hairs from the Vacuum, which saved me so much time and kept it hair-free². Preventing random little things getting tangled with the Robot helped so much with the process, taking out all added stress you could get from a Robot Vacuum, and keeping the good stuff.

Specialist In Picking Up Fluff & Dirt

The most remarkable aspect of the Philips HomeRun 9000 Series Robot Vacuum is its ability to pick up even the tiniest bits of dirt thanks to its high suction power. With my messy kids leaving crumbs on every possible crevice, spilling liquids in ways that I still can’t fathom and a trail of muddy paw prints leading straight towards my guilty dog, I need the best Robot Vacuum I can find. The way it thoroughly covers every surface area of my floor means I confidently know that it won’t miss a thing. My kids somehow spilled coffee beans all over my floors, and it was such a massive kerfuffle. The Philips Robot Vacuum was able to save the day, washing my floors so extravagantly that I’d forgotten it was even there.

Final Thoughts

I think this is genuinely the best Robot Vacuum you could find on the market. With its efficiency and independence, it’s hard to find a Robot Vacuum that can match how well it works. It’s everything you want in a Robot Vacuum, and I genuinely have no idea how I managed to function without it. I couldn’t recommend it enough, it’s truly spectacular.
