Created by sommelier Shanteh Wale, this drink recipe is part of our Seasonal Sensations series. Inspired by the 2023 delicious Harvey Norman Produce Awards, five Australian foodies have put together five  mouthwatering recipes for you to try at home.

Serves 1

Ingredients

15ml Süd Polaire Sæfron Gin

30ml Autonomy Davo Plum Aperitivo Bitters

30ml Nippy’s Pink Grapefruit Juice

125ml (approx) NV Sidewood Estate Sparkling

Ruby red grapefruit circle slice, to garnish

Rosemary sprig, to garnish

Recipe for Sparkling Wine with Saffron Gin + Plum Vermouth.

Method

Fill a spritz glass with crushed ice.

Combine gin, bitters and grapefruit juice in the glass. Top with sparkling wine and garnish with a slice of grapefruit and a sprig of rosemary.

Notes: If ruby red grapefruit is not in season, you can substitute with orange.
