If you ever needed proof of just how good the produce in this country is, look no further than the 2022 delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards. Honouring the best of the best in the industry, all 18 trophy winners offer a showcase of why the world has fallen in love with Australia’s produce.
Below, we’ll show you who took home the gold. Plus, top Australian chef Matt Moran gives us an insight into the thoughts of the judges.

Australian producers are indeed exceptional. However, many have been beset by challenges over the last few years.
delicious. Editorial Director, Kerrie McCallum, views the Produce Awards as an important acknowledgement of the difficult times the industry has faced.
“Since 2006, the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards has been at the forefront of championing the unsung heroes behind our top chefs and restaurateurs – Australia’s finest producers.
“It is vital to support our farmers and small producers, many of whom have been affected by severe drought, devastating bushfires, COVID-19 and the floods in New South Wales and Queensland.
“This year, we wanted to discover the producers leading the field in their production ethos, cultivation and wild-catch practices, and the top-quality produce it results in. We’ve acknowledged producers with a focus on environmental sustainability, provenance, species diversity, preservation and collaboration with the local community.

Australia’s Best Chefs Turned Judges
One of this year’s judges for the delicious. Harvey Norman Produce Awards was Australian chef Matt Moran.
“I feel so proud to be part of these Awards”, Matt said. “Each year, I’m blown away by the quality of produce that we taste. It is vital that we acknowledge and support our Australian producers who work tirelessly to deliver outstanding produce.”

Alongside Matt on the National Judging Panel were a number of other top Australian chefs including Josh Niland, Lennox Hastie, Matt Stone, Jo Barrett, Andrew McConnell, Peter Gilmore and Alla Wolf-Tasker.
Somehow, the National Judging Panel found a way to whittle down an array of amazing nominees to the chosen trophy winners.

Let’s get to it – the Overall Producer of the Year is Rocky Point Aquaculture!

Based in Moreton Bay, Queensland, Rocky Point Aquaculture is an innovative sustainable seafood operation.
In speaking about the judges’ decision, Matt Moran said, “This year’s Producer of the Year, Rocky Point Aquaculture, impressed us with their world-class sustainability practices and the top-quality produce that these practices are resulting in.”
